Financial Services Account Manager

Full-Time

Main Function:

Financial Services provides all internal and external customers of The Insurance Market with an excellent service experience by consistently (1) supporting the Company’s goals and mission, (2) following all Company policies and procedures, (3) providing quality customer service, and (4) following safety standards in performing all of the functions below.

  • Quoting of new business and remarketing current group health insurance
  • Prepare new and renewal group health insurance proposals
  • Compile and partially complete new and renewal applications
  • Attend and work with Account Executives on group health employee enrollment meetings
  • Assisting other Account Executives with group health clients and the administrative details involved; such as enrollments and terminations, billing issues and acting as liaison between our clients and the insurance carrier on claims issues
  • Maintaining accurate agency files for our health clients, both group and individual
  • Identify opportunities to add or cross sell additional employee benefits
  • Inputting Financial Services Direct Bill commissions for Account Executives (Can be delegated)
  • Work with clients to enroll or change individual health insurance or Medicare supplements
  • Attend carrier and vendor meeting and report changes back to Account Executives
  • Maintain and expand our current life Insurance book of business
  • Complete other duties as required

Qualifications: 

  • Experience and expertise in operating in electronic environment; excellent automation skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems
  • Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and self-direction

Education:

  • Life and Health Insurance License
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

 

Physical Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking for periods of time. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Frequent use of telephone, computer and other office equipment.

Commercial Lines Marketing Associate

Main Function:

Commercial Lines provides all internal and external customers of The Insurance Market with an excellent service experience by consistently (1) supporting the Company’s goals and mission, (2) following all Company policies and procedures, (3) providing quality customer service, and (4) following safety standards in performing all of the functions below.

  • Manage and coordinate all marketing submissions for new business and remarketing of renewal business
  • Expand and develop marketing platforms and distribution channels
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with our insurance carriers
  • Work with Account Executives to produce client facing Insurance Proposals
  • Stay current with Insurance Carriers to determine market underwriting requirements
  • Attend and participate in Commercial Lines Department and Producer meetings
  • Participate in courses for insurance/sales skills.
  • Keep current with industry trends by reading appropriate journals and company bulletins.
  • Complete other duties as required

 

Qualifications: 

  • Property and Casualty Insurance License (required for applying)
  • 3+ years of insurance marketing experience
  • Experience and expertise in operating in electronic environment; excellent automation skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems
  • Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and self-direction

Education:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

Account Manager -Commercial Lines

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain client files and ensure proper documentation, by processing all policies, endorsement changes, invoices, binders, certificates of insurance, documentation, activities, etc., according to agency procedures, and within agency timelines
  • Process, review and transact all client renewals
  • Attend policy renewal meetings with Producer and clients as needed
  • Respond to client inquiries, incoming e-mail, mail, and company requests in accordance with agency guidelines
  • Resolve policy/account billing issues.
  • Review all items to be processed, to insure items were received as ordered.
  • Participate in courses for insurance/sales skills. Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements of carriers. Keep current with industry trends by reading appropriate journals and company bulletins.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients
  • Complete other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Property and Casualty Insurance Broker's License (required for applying)
  • 1+ years insurance, customer-service experience
  • Experience and expertise in operating in electronic environment; excellent automation skills, Outlook, Word, Excel, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems
